SEA TURTLE CONSERVATION

In 2004, Warren head-started the Dubai Turtle Rehabilitation Project (combination of efforts between Jumeirah and Dubai's Wildlife Protection Office) where he worked hard to promote educational awareness with the local and ex-pat community.  Due to the popularity of the projects educational experiences and turtle releases, the project saw a noticeable increase in sick turtles being recovered year on year.  Thanks to various research done by the project there have been several peer reviewed publications.  In 2015, Warren was asked to design the new Al Naseem rehabilitation facility which opened in 2017 and in 2016, the project was recognised by being awarded silver at the World Responsible Tourism Awards for ‘Best Contribution to Wildlife Conservation.
